Lionel Messi once again showed why he is regarded as one of the greatest football players ever as he scored a brace in Barcelona’s 8-2 demolition of newly-promoted Huesca.
Aside from scoring two goals in the big win, Messi also added some new records to his already long list.
Top-flight debutants Huesca surprised even themselves as they took a shock early lead in their first league visit to the Nou Camp.
Colombian forward Cucho Hernandez deflected the ball in from point-blank range. Messi leveled in the 16th, cannoning a shot in off the post.
With that feat, it meant that Messi has scored against 37 of the 40 teams he has faced in his La Liga career (386 goals), the most ever of any player in the competition.
